The painting Snow Covered Stream shows a winter landscape with the red sky of an afternoon or early evening. In the sparkling and glittering snow one can spot small animal tracks. Some trees can be seen in the background, with a larger forest further behind.
The artist started painting winter forest interiors in the mid 1970's, and this has been a theme he has frequently returned to. He regards winter time as visually the most abstract season of the year.
