Some years ago I was visiting my gallerist in Sweden, the now late Lars Mollbrink, in his summer gallery in Kungshamn, Sweden. I went for a walk in the granite landscape which is prevalent in this coastal area. Suddenly a hare appeared and was gone in the same second. I was fascinated by the sight of life in this wide stone desert, and later tried to recreate the impression of that moment on canvas. A moment frozen in time.
