Description
The viking grave in the painting is located at Borre National Park in Norway, where nine great mounds were constructed between 600-900 AD. The Borre Mounds are Northern Europes largest collections of mounds in one single location. In addition to these great mounds there are about 30 other lesser burial mounds. The great mounds indicate that Borre was a centre of power.
