Snow Scene in the Forest is a painting with a winter theme, showing deep snow upon the ground and on the branches in the forest, with a glimpse of the red afternoon sky behind the trees.
The artist started painting winter forest interiors in the mid 1970's, and this has been a theme he has frequently returned to. He regards winter time as visually the most abstract season of the year.
